What is Bounce Rate?

Bounce Rate is the percentage of visits that visitors first see on the page when they enter your site through Google, social media, or any other way they leave the website. They do not visit any second page after the first page. That is the number of one-page visits received from one visitor. Sometimes is used for the measurement of a website engagement

From the definition of bounce rate, you must have understood that the higher the bounce rate of a website, the less acceptable it is to the visitors. Or the content of that website may attract fewer visitors.

How to Improve Bounce Rate?

Increasing the quality of the content is most important to reduce the bounce rate of the website. The better the quality of the content, the more informative the content, and the more curious the visitors will be. The more multiple pages will visit. So to reduce the bounce rate, first of all, you have to look at the quality of the content. Besides, I am highlighting many effective methods here.

Page Loading Time should be Reduced

Usually, a visitor gets annoyed when the page loading time is too long and he does not visit any other page on your website unless he needs too much. If the loading time is too much on the first page, in most cases the visitor leaves the website by pressing the back button of the device. This means that your website’s accessibility to visitors is greatly reduced.

So to reduce the bounce rate, get many page visits from a visitor, and make the website popular, it is mandatory to reduce the loading time of the site.

Need to Make Navigation Easier

Navigation from one page to another should be made easy and interesting. In this way, the user will be interested to go to another page after visiting one page. So that the bounce rate of the site can be reduced effectively.

The Design of the Website should be Made Attractive

In addition to increasing the quality of the website content, we also need to look at the design of the site. If the design of the site is beautiful and unique, it will be able to attract visitors easily. In that case, in addition to using clear images or videos, the website must be responsive to all types of devices (mobile, tablet, laptop).

Easy to Searching

You have to look for any topic on the website so that it can be found easily. In that case, in addition to making the search feature attractive, you need to make it easier for visitors to find any content by searching using the necessary tags and keywords. This is a very effective way. Because it will not only reduce bounce rate but also search engines will find the website more easily.

Mobile Visit should be Given First Importance

We don’t sit on laptops or computers all the time. But mobile phones are always with us. Moreover, it is much easier for us to access any website on mobile. Therefore, it can be said that the number of visitors with mobile will be the highest among the visitors. So mobile visitors should be given priority and then visitors should be given importance with laptops or computers and tablets. However, no visitor is less important, it should be kept in mind.

Content size should be Kept as Small as Possible

Many times if the content is too big and the visitors get frustrated and leave the website. Because visitors may not have enough time to read large content. So the content should be made public as small as possible. If necessary, more than one content can be published on the same topic. However, the quality of the content cannot be reduced by reducing the content size. Each content must have to be independent.

For relatively large content, write in small paragraphs. This makes it easy for the visitor to read, as well as easily attracts the attention of the visitor.

Use Relevant Keywords

You need to use enough keywords to match the content. This will allow visitors to easily find the necessary content. As well as the type of content that visitors have entered your website to read, visitors will get suggestions of that type of content. This will reduce the bounce rate to a greater extent.

Avoid Distracting Ads

Visitors are much more annoyed by misleading advertisements. Visitor confidence is lost from the top of the site. As a result, if the search engine ever refers to your site in the future, the visitor will ignore the good content of your site. So stay away from all kinds of misleading advertisements. As well as the amount of advertising should be reduced.

Bounce Rate of Website Suddenly Decreases?

The lower the bounce rate of the website, the more visitors the website can attract. The low bounce rate is a delight for a web content creator. But the lower the bounce rate, the greater risk. If the bounce rate of your website suddenly decreases, then it must be understood that a visitor has entered your website and is navigating your page one by one. If they click on too many ads, your AdSense may be at risk.

So if the bounce rate of your website suddenly decreases, you should stop your website AdSense for a while. Later, when the bounce rate is normal, restart AdSense.

What is a Good Bounce Rate

The safe bounce rate is about 20–30%. If the bounce rate is higher than this, you should try to reduce it. And if you have less, you need to be aware, so that whenever the amount decreases, you have to turn off AdSense for your website.
